Glamis Castle
Brief
Glamis Castle is one of Scotland’s premier tourist attractions. SBP has provided the Castle with full agency services for almost a decade.
Strathmore Estates had identified the need to review the branding of all the businesses within the estate and create a unified master brand to be applied across all communication collateral as part of a phased implementation plan. This would help bring brand recognition and associated benefits to lesser known parts of the business, such as property management.
Deliverables
The creative development was initially influenced by the Earl of Strathmore who wished to explore the themes of his personal crest, however it was felt that a lack of recognition would be detrimental to the brand. The castle itself is one of the most iconic buildings in the UK and would offer better brand recognition. The brand with the castle as the hero was the chosen route which combined with contemporary fonts gave the fresh look and feel the client was looking for.
The branding was extended into a new website, marketing collateral, company clothing, signage and castle merchandise.
