LIN GIN
Brief
Linlithgow Distillery was a brand new venture, started in 2017, with a desire to bring distillation back to life in the Royal Burgh of Linlithgow. The first product to be launched was a London Dry gin – LinGin.
SBP Creative was appointed to create a brand identity for the Linlithgow Distillery, and to design and produce the label for the flagship product, LinGin. The brief was to focus on the local associations of the brand – the town of Linlithgow and it’s people, many of whom were recruited to the tasting panel to refine the recipe!
Deliverables
Locally grown botanicals, local tasters, hand crafting, bottling & packaging in Linlithgow – combined with the heritage and history of the town and the arresting iconic skyline supplied rich input to the brand development work. The colour palette, the muted illustrative style of the famous loch, palace and spire evoke memories of leisurely strolls amid the fragrance of wild flora. Incorporating the treasured skyline roots the brand firmly in Linlithgow.
The labels were produced using multiple print technologies including foil blocking, embossing and UV varnish.
